The execution context layer of BlackChart

Smart Money Radar is the liquidity and supply and demand layer of the BlackChart Suite. It overlays four readings on price: scored supply and demand zones, liquidity sweeps, imbalances, and plain structure zones.

It keeps only what is still in play. Zones are scored, ranked and tracked through their lifecycle, and a zone that price has closed beyond is treated as spent.

The goal is not to predict a reaction. The goal is to show where liquidity was taken, where price left an imbalance, and which zones still matter, so the trader can read execution context with less noise.

Core purpose

Smart Money Radar exists to keep the chart focused on the areas that are still relevant. Zones, sweeps and imbalances are easy to draw and hard to rank; a chart that shows all of them equally is difficult to read.

The indicator scores its volumetric zones, grades its sweeps, and lets the trader choose how much to display. It maps context. It does not replace judgement.

What problem it solves

Supply and demand zones, liquidity sweeps and imbalances are usually spread across separate tools, each with its own rules and no shared ranking. The result is a crowded chart where a fresh zone and a spent one look the same.

Smart Money Radar brings these readings into one overlay with a single display control. In Clean mode it shows one supply and one demand zone, the most important of each; in Advanced mode it shows the full board.

What it reads in the market

  • Volumetric supply and demand zones, each with a quality score
  • Structure demand and supply zones (DEM / SUP) at breaks of market structure
  • Liquidity sweeps beyond a swing, graded A and A+
  • Imbalances (IMB) left by fast, one-sided moves
  • Zone status: candidate, Active, Confirmed
  • Mitigation: when a zone is spent, and when it flips into its inverse

Key features and visible components

  • Volumetric zones (VOL DEM / VOL SUP): green demand and red supply areas with a score from roughly 0 to 95% and an inner bar that fills with the score. A dashed border marks a zone drawn on the wick of a confirmed swing high or low; a solid border marks one born from a structure break.
  • Score tiers: zones at 80–89% and at 90% or above are starred. A zone earns an extra star once it is Confirmed, meaning price has already reacted from it and structure has since broken in its favour. Only the dashed, sweep-born zones carry it.
  • Structure zones (DEM / SUP): plain, unscored demand and supply zones that mark where a move began before a break of market structure. They are an independent layer and stay visible in every display mode.
  • Liquidity sweeps, A and A+: a grey ? marks a sweep that has just happened. It becomes an A sweep when structure shifts in favour of the reversal with a displacement imbalance, and a gold A+ sweep with one extra sign of strength. If the liquidity is retaken, the marker disappears.
  • Imbalances (IMB): gaps left by fast moves. The zone label carries an IMB tag wherever one overlaps it; Clean mode shows that tag alone, without the separate boxes.
  • Mitigation and flips: a zone is spent when price closes beyond it; a wick through it leaves the zone valid. Spent zones and imbalances can flip into their inverse (i-DEMAND, i-SUPPLY, i-IMB) in Advanced and Custom modes.
  • Display modes: Clean, Advanced, or Custom.
  • Structure Sensitivity: one preset — Auto, Scalping, Day Trading, Intraday, Swing, Position — that tunes swings, sweeps and zones to the timeframe.
  • Alerts: six alert conditions for sweeps, structure breaks and imbalances. They describe the event, not what the market will do next.

How it fits into the 4-pillar framework

Smart Money Radar is the fourth pillar of the BlackChart decision chain: execution context. Deep Flow reads the broader context, Structural Decoder maps the structure, and Wave Engine reports the measured facts behind each wave. Smart Money Radar then shows where liquidity was taken and which supply and demand zones are still in play.

This layer is most useful when the previous layers have already given a clear picture. A sweep or a zone carries more meaning when context and structure support the same reading.

How traders can use it

  • Start in Clean mode and note the one demand and one supply zone the radar ranks highest, with their scores.
  • Check for agreement: a plain DEM / SUP zone at the same level as a scored VOL zone is two independent reads in the same place.
  • As price reaches a zone, watch whether a grey ? resolves into an A or A+ sweep.
  • Track mitigation: the zone stays valid while price only wicks it; a close beyond spends it and may flip it.

This is a reading order. It describes what to look at; it does not tell the trader what to trade.

When not to use it

Smart Money Radar should not be used to trade every visible zone. Candidate zones are not validated yet, and a zone that price has closed beyond is spent.

On very low timeframes more zones appear, which adds noise; Clean mode and a suitable Structure Sensitivity level keep the chart readable. Smart Money Radar is an execution context layer. It does not generate buy or sell signals and gives no guarantee that price will react at a level.

Why it matters

Smart Money Radar matters because the same level can be fresh, tested or spent, and the chart rarely says which. Scoring, grading and mitigation tracking give the trader a consistent way to tell them apart.

Inside BlackChart, Smart Money Radar completes the decision chain by showing execution context after context, structure and wave measurements have been reviewed.
